Description of your holiday home in Andalusia
You will immediately feel at home in this lovely holiday home in Andalusia; the hospitable owner awaits you on arrival with homemade tapas and a glass of wine (or orange juice). The garden and furnishings of Cortijo The Old Bakery reveal that the owners of this beautiful house have traveled a lot themselves. The holiday home is filled with 'souvenirs' from among othersFrance and Morocco. In the huge garden of The Old Bakery there is even a large Moroccan desert tent, which is entirely exclusively at your disposal during your holiday. Upon entering you imagine yourself in a fairytale. Persian carpets on the floors, lounge sofas with large, colorful cushions and the Arabic lamps exude dimmed light. The house is set in a huge garden full of art, seating areas, a gazebo and a hammock; this really shouldn't be called a garden, this is a park, a beautiful park. From your private infinity pool you have a view over the cypresses and lawns of this estate.
In earlier times the main road between Seville and Granada ran past your holiday home, then the bakery of the village. In the kitchen you will still find the old oven, which is of course no longer in use. If you are looking for space and tranquility, The Old Bakery is the holiday home for you. "Get lost" in the garden, do yoga or meditate in the desert tent or enjoy the infinity pool; this is a very special place!
Surroundings of The Old Bakery
At about 15 minutes there is a typical Andalusian village with steep, narrow streets with orange trees, parks, terraces and white houses: Archidona. The drive to the village is worthwhile in itself, winding roads between the ridges. At the top of the mountain, against which Archidona is built, is a monastery that is still in use. The view from this point extends to the horizon. Archidona has several boutiques and other nice shops, there are also two larger supermarkets and the Plaza Ochivada is a great place to relax on a summer evening. on this square there are several restaurants in different price ranges. Royal cities of Granada and Córdoba can be reached within 1.5 hours from your holiday home, Málaga is about 50 minutes.
