Description of this absolutely beautiful holiday home
This is one of those houses that really only appears in dreams; an absolute gem in our portfolio of holiday homes. Although the holiday home has a maximum capacity of 12 people, it is also a gorgeous holiday destination for 2 people, a small group of friends or 1 family. You will want for nothing in this house during your holiday. The English owners of the house bought it as a ruin and transformed it into a small palace in four years' time. With the holiday rental they support local, small entrepreneurs; the Spanish lady who welcomes you and her team of cleaners, the gardener and the gentleman who keeps the pool clean. In addition, the holiday home is rented exclusively through La Taha, with this property you have found a unique place to celebrate your holiday. Since the owners are also very happy to come to this beautiful place in Andalusia, it is only available for holidaymakers for a limited amount of weeks a year.
Layout of Cortijo de la Fuente
After parking your car (designated space for 3 cars), you walk along the gravel path to the antique wooden front door, which leads to a small courtyard, the first doors on the right lead to two bedrooms with double beds. The first bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet. This room also has a large built-in wardrobe for your clothes. The second bedroom with a double bed is adjacent to a bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet, which is shared with the third double room with 2 single beds. This bedroom is adjacent to the small courtyard with fountain and dining area. From the courtyard a door leads to the large kitchen with, among other things, a double sink, dishwasher, 5-burner gas stove and large fridge/freezer, in the kitchen there is also a small dining area. From the kitchen or from the courtyard you reach the enormous living room, with high ceiling, large fireplace and several French doors leading on to the house-wide terrace at the rear of the house. On the terrace you will find a large marble dining table suitable for 12 people. On this floor there is another very spacious double room with large fitted wardrobes and a bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet. Using the staircase in the hall you reach the master bedroom with a double bed, with a private bathroom with walk-in shower, washbasin and free-standing bath. The 6th bedroom is located on the side of the house and can only be reached from the outside. This room has a double bed and a very spacious, private bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink, toilet and free-standing bath. The biggest eye-catcher of this holiday home is behind the house, the huge swimming pool with sun beds and umbrellas all around, a very complete outdoor kitchen with two refrigerators and a sink. Several sitting areas and a large day bed. For those who want to keep 'fit' during their holiday, there is a ping pong table under the covered terrace. The view from this beautiful area is simply breathtaking.
Surroundings of this exclusive holiday home
Cortijo de la Fuente is located on top of a mountain on the border of 3 provinces; Malaga, Cordoba and Granada. This location makes this the ultimate base to visit the Royal Cities of all three provinces during a day trip; the capitals of these provinces can be reached in an hour to an hour and a half. In addition, the beautiful Lake Iznajar is only a 10-minute drive away. Nature Park Subbetica can be reached in less than half an hour. That is if you want to leave your nice holiday home at all...
Remarks
- The unique location of this fantastic holiday home makes the drive there a bit of a challenge, but this should not be a problem for an experienced driver.
- The owners ask for a deposit of € 300, which you will receive back if the holiday home is left in good order.
- The nearest airport is Malaga (AGP) at about 50 minutes drive.
