This beautiful villa is in the most peaceful private location, on a hill surrounded by olive groves with stunning views of the reservoir below. This modern detached house, of immaculate character, is accessed by a mostly concreted path and has a large covered terrace on two sides of the house, a spacious patio and a beautiful private swimming pool of approx 9 x 4.5 metres. This is the place to relax and unwind.
The owners of the cortijo moved to Iznájar in January 2019, as they were attracted to the beautiful landscape and the reservoir. Their two dogs keep them entertained and they enjoy visiting different parts of this beautiful region of Andalucia with friends in the local walking groups. They live locally, and are always ready for advice and questions.
Layout of the holiday villa
The villa has an open plan ground floor with a good-sized kitchen, a large living room plus an adjoining TV room and a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs are the three large bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have private terraces with views over the lake and the hills beyond. Within an hour's drive of both Granada and Malaga airports, the villa is easily accessible by car over excellent roads.
Immediate vicinity of Cortijo Ladera
The hilltop town of Iznajar is only a 10 minute drive from the house, the village has a variety of attractions including a castle, churches, several bars, restaurants, pharmacies, a medical center and a variety of shops. West of Iznajar is a small sandy beach where you can soak up the sun, take a walk, swim in the lake or rent a pedal boat, kayak or paddle board. A little further afield, in Archidona and Rute, larger supermarkets offer a wider choice of food and drink. The area offers beautiful walks with stunning views, whether it be among the olive trees in the hills or overlooking the lake. For cycling enthusiasts, the terrain around the villa can be a fantastic challenge!
